Experience and Education
Valid Texas driver's license required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two (2) years’ experience in a hospital or multi-hospital system, with inventory distribution, receiving and par management functions is required.
Supervisor or Team Leader experience preferred.
Job Duties
Responsible to effectively supervise of staff assigned to the Materials Management Building (MMB) performing receiving and shipping of materials and equipment, staging incoming and outgoing supplies and equipment, stock put-away and rotation, PAR and requisition replenishment, order filling and delivery to user departments throughout the UTSWMC/CUH. Provides necessary training and development of staff performing supply chain functions within the MMB.
Effectively supervises the activities and workload of staff members to achieve daily objectives. Prepares staffing schedules and participates in employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when required. Provides job-specific training, conducts staff meetings and in-services, and evaluates staff competencies.
Ensures compliance with capital and non-capital equipment receiving, tagging, and distribution policies and procedures. Coordinates safe and timely inter-campus transport of facility assets as needed.
Ensures accurate and timely replenishment processes and works effectively with clinical departments to address supply requirements.
Ensures drivers comply with inter-campus delivery schedules and distribution staff provide timely and accurate interfacility receipt distribution and collect required proof-of-delivery information.
Ensures compliant processes and outcomes associated with medical device cleaning and decontamination. Recommends policy and procedure changes as healthcare industry standards evolve.
Enforces good housekeeping practices daily to eliminate congestion, clutter, and safety hazards and maintains a neat and orderly appearance of the dock, receiving, and staging areas. The MMB should be clear of clutter including cardboard, pallets, and rubbish.
Performs other duties as assigned.
