How do I turn off the pep tank alarm? ›

Should the PEP system malfunction, the red light will come on and an audible alarm will sound. If this happens, you should press the audible alarm silence button located on the bottom of the panel and contact a customer service representative NOT a plumber.

In the tank the wastewater is treated anaerobically. When the liquid level in the tank reaches the height at which the float is set, the control systems turn on the pump. The pump sends a set volume of liquid out of the tank via the service line into the pressure main and on to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The septic alarm systems monitor the water levels in the septic tank. They are designed to alert the user when the water level is too high or too low. So if your alarm goes off or if you can see a red light on the alarm, this can indicate a higher than usual level of water.

A simpler way to describe it is a septic tank system, but instead of an on-site drain field, the gray water is pumped into the wastewater collection system. The system was designed and installed during the early development of Palm Coast when owned and operated by ITT Corporation.

PEP devices allow air to flow freely as you breathe in, but not when you breathe out. You must breathe out harder against the resistance. It takes about four times as long to breathe out against the resistance than it does to breathe in. This helps air get behind the mucus and helps move it from lung and airway walls.

When the gray water reaches a predetermined level in the dosing tank, a float switch activates the pump, pushing the wastewater to the drain field. The pump runs until the fluid reaches a lower limit, as determined by your contractor. This process repeats each time effluent levels reach the float operation level.

If the alarm happens to be going off, the best thing to do is to push the red button or switch on the alarm box. This will turn off the alarm. There should be a red light and a green light located somewhere on the alarm box. The green light means that the alarm has power and should always be on.

TO SILENCE THE ALARM HOLD THE RED RESET/SLEEP KEY ON THE RESET/SLEEP DECAL FOR 3 TO 4 SECONDS TO ACTIVATE SLEEP MODE AND SILENCE THE ALARM.
